Queens puzzle techniques
Every board in Logic Legends can be solved by reasoning alone, with five techniques. They are the same five the in-game hint uses. Learn them in order: each one is what you reach for when the ones before it run out.
- 1. Last CellEasy boardsA row, column or color with one open cell left: the crown goes there.
- 2. ConfinementEasy boardsA color whose open cells share one row or column clears the rest of that line, and the other way round.
- 3. SqueezeMedium boardsA cell whose crown would block every open cell of another color can’t hold a crown.
- 4. PigeonholeHard boardsTwo colors trapped in the same two columns own those columns; nothing else can go there.
- 5. What-ifExpert boardsTry a crown, follow the simple steps, and see whether something runs out of cells.
How boards are graded
Logic Legends grades each board by the hardest technique it needs. Easy boards need only Last Cell and Confinement. Medium boards need Squeeze somewhere. Hard boards need Pigeonhole, and Expert boards need What-if. Every board has exactly one solution, and none of them needs a guess.
A habit that helps
Mark × freely. Every technique here works on what you can see: a color down to two open cells, a row with one cell left. The more cells you have crossed out, the sooner they show up. In Logic Legends a crown crosses out what it rules out for you, and you can drag across cells to mark several at once.
